Abstract

This system will enable qualitative and quantitative planar measurement of temperature in gaseous and liquid environments. The temperature measurements in gaseous flows, based on phosphorescent tracers or on Rayleigh scattering, will improve the analysis of both flameless and oxifuel combustion and will provide spatial distribution of some combustion radicals, such as CH, OH and NOx . Liquid temperature will be measured by exciplex tracers in fuel droplets which will be probably used as pilot flames for the combustion of the natural gas in the small generator project. (AU)
