Abstract

São Paulo, as many other Brazilian cities, has been participating in the Age-friendly cities program, created by the World Health Organization. For this purpose, some neighborhoods of the capital have established partnerships with Universities and Research Institutes. The present project involves the School of Arts, Sciences and Humanities (University of São Paulo) and the neighborhoods of Mooca and Brás. This project intends to apply the age-friendly city methodology in this context, through focus groups based on the Vancouver Protocol guidelines (WHO, 2007). (AU)
