Abstract

This project focuses on the study of compact objects, such as black holes and neutron stars, by using their emitted gravitational waves in a number of different configurations. The theoretical study of gravitational waves, described as time-evolving small perturbations in a background spacetime, can provide relevant information on their sources. Cosmological models, equations of state describing the interior of a neutron star and the possible dynamics of binary systems can be compared and clarified by this analysis. The proposed research lines are already ongoing work. (AU)
