Abstract

Sesquiterpene lactones from native species of compositae show structural diversitics and interesting biological activities. The aim of this plants is isolate such natural products from native species and elucidate the structures using spectroscopic methods (infrared, mass spectrometry and nuclear magnetic ressonance). The compounds isolated will be to submitted to bioassay. The active compounds will be structurally modificated and synthetized. (AU)
