Abstract

Plasma electrolytic oxidation will be applied to produce bioactive coatings on tantalum. It will be investigated the influence of process parameters on the properties of the modified surfaces and how such properties affects the bioactivity of the metal. Special emphasis will be dedicated to the evaluation of the stability of the coatings when in contact with biological fluids. (AU)
