The electric response of a dielectric liquid doped by ferrofluid will be investigated. From the theoretical point of view our goal is the generalization of the Poisson-Nernst-Planck model, based on the continuity equations and on the equation of Poisson with particular attention to the importance of the Einstein-Smolucowski relation, and to the description of the boundary conditions used for the model. From the experimental point of view we plan to analyze the spectra of the real and imaginary parts of the response of the cell at the impedance and dielectric level versus the thickness of the samples, in order to derive information on the bulk and interface contributions.
