The proposal involves a visit by a foreign researcher (Dr. Richard Price, Faculty of Dentistry, Dalhousie University, Halifax, NS, Canadá) for 26 days in Piracicaba Dental School at UNICAMP. Dr. Richard Price is a recognized researcher in the photoactivation area of resin-based dental materials and his visit to Brazil will bring numerous scientific and educational contributions. Various activities will be performed by the visitor and involves laboratory activities, lecturers, discussions of the results and visits to other institutions.Laboratory activities will involve graduate students and will be related to determining energy levels emitted by different light-curing units and a pilot study will be performed with photoactivated composites using different light-curing units. Several benefits will be generated with this visit and cover the areas of education, research photoactivation of restorative materials and planning future collaborations. (AU)
