Our knots and we: an interdisciplinary proposal for high school teaching through literature and audiovisuals

Abstract

This project is bas on the theoretical-methodological principles of Historical-Critical Pedagogy and Socio-Historical Psychology. The target stude are enrolled in regular high school classrooms of a public school in São José dos Campos/SP/Brazil. Activities will be planned and developed oriented by literary art and audio-visuals, articulating the following axes: work, Science, technology and culture through integrating activities among the areas of Portuguese Language, History and Art. Through this interdisciplinary work a emphasis on the literary and audio-visual language in the teaching and learning process we expect to ensure the student's engagement in studying practices, as well as raising their awareness about the need of doing research as a pedagogical principle for elementary education and reinforce the indissociability of teaching, research and extended education. These are some social commitments of the university or higher education. (AU)
