Abstract
Sperm sexing to obtain semen doses with a high percentage of gamete carriers X or Y chromosome, even more relevant the role of artificial insemination in maximizing genetic progress between generations; productivity and economic return in some farming activities; assisted reproduction in mammals; and genetic counseling of the human species. The objectives of this project will be study the sperm content X or Y chromosomes of cattle to select sex-specific proteins; identifying amino acid residues of interest proteins by mass spectrometry; produce sex-specific antibodies by heterologous immunization (chickens); and verifying the binding efficiency of these antibodies to bovine sperm. Differentials proteins encountered by mass spectrometry will be purified by liquid chromatography and tested for binding efficiency at 50% of cells of a non-sexed semen using flow cytometry, which checks the connection of the anti-protein antibody of interest.
