Abstract

After the advent of sound, both in Argentina and in Brazil, the producers emulate the Studio System as structured in Hollywood. The proposed research project aims to list, describe and analyze the different ways in which the cinematography of Argentina and Brazil have linked up in 1930 and 1955, ie the period in which the studios cinema model was dominant in the ideology and the practice in the industry of both countries.Contrary to what one can believe, it was not watertight cinematography, closed in themselves. There were exchanges in the field of cinema between the two countries, ranging from commercial forms (eg the circulation of Brazilian film in Argentina) to cultural relations (eg as the Argentine films representing Brazil and Brazilians).
