Infrastructure for research - Multiuser Laboratory FMABC

Abstract

Since 2010 with the approval by the PhD Program by CAPES (MEC Ordinance No. 1225/2010), the experimental research activity in the Faculdade de Medicina do ABC has shown significant growth, resulting in increased number of students and hence scientific publications. As a result of this growing scientific production currently PPG FMABC has eleven researchers with productivity scholarship (Fernando Luiz Affonso Fonseca, Maria Aparecida Pinhal, Caio Parente Barbosa, Bianca Bianco, Denise Maria Christofolini, Luiz Carlos de Abreu, Fernando Adami, Sidney Glina, Roseli Sarni, Auro del Giglio and Anete Sevciovic Grumach), which represents one third of permanent tutors. The PPG FMABC has 284 students enrolled, 145 Masters in Science, 129 PhD, 10 Postdoctoral, and 75 undergraduate students. Since its inception we have been titrated 238 Masters and 52 Doctors. Thus, this project intends to continue equipping the physical and functional structure of the current Multi-User Lab FMABC within the modern conception of unified and integrated Laboratory, incorporating new techniques obeying the prioritization of collective use of all researchers for common tasks. Therefore, it is necessary to train the existing laboratory with equipment that meet the increasing demand for research and IES also establish functional connection with other equipment already purchased previously.
