Abstract

The objective of the present study is to evaluate the bond strength of zirconia-feldspatic ceramic with liner application or Er,Cr:YSGG laser irradiation after aging. Twenty zirconia bars (10x6x4 mm3) to each group according the surface treatment will be prepared, sintered and divided randnly in six groups according surface treatment, a total of 120 zirconia bars (IPS emax.ZirCAD, Ivoclar Vivadent) that are used to infrastructure of CAD-CAM system (computer-aided design and computer-aided design manufacturing), the bars will be sintered and submitted to liner application (HeraCeram, Heraus Kulzer or ZirLiner, Ivoclar Vivadent) and/or Er,Cr: YSGG laser irradiation (iPlus, Waterlase) (3W; 20Hz; 53,57 J/cm2). The samples will be randomly assigned into six groups (n=20): G1 - no treatment (control); G2 - Liner HeraCeram; G3 - Liner ZirLiner; G4 - Er,Cr:YSGG Laser; G5 - Er,Cr:YSGG Laser + Liner HeraCeram; G6- Er,Cr:YSGG Laser + Liner ZirLiner. Zirconia samples will be adhered to covering feldspathic ceramic (IPS e.maxZirPres, Ivoclar Vivadent) with injection of lost wax with a cylindrical conduct with 0.8 mm diameter (Wax Shapes Kerr -USA), and each zirconia bar will receive 3 conducts. Sample will be submitted to thermal-mechanic cycling (100,000 cycles). Twenty bars of each group will be evaluated by microshear test with 1 mm/min speed. The failure mode will be evaluated (50x magnification) and the surface morphology of the samples will be analyzed by scanning electron microscopy. The microshear values will be submitted to Levene normality test. The statistical analysis will be performed with two-way ANOVA and Tukey test (p<0.05), the failure mode will be express by descriptive analysis. (AU)
