Abstract
Since the origin of agriculture, the creation of pest control methods has been a challenge for man. The diseases caused by pathogenic micro-organisms has caused significant losses in agriculture, grain destruction during storage, decreased nutritional value and sometimes produce harmful mycotoxins on humans and animals. The control of these diseases in agriculture has intensified, being carried out primarily through the use of synthetics compounds, but the indiscriminate use of these fungicides and bactericides have caused problems of human and environmental contamination, and also has caused the pathogens emergence of resistance to these products chemicals. Therefore, in the search for substitutes for synthetic compounds, natural products are an alternative of economic and ecological interest very promising, where the use of compounds extracted of natural sources and with a possible activity on phytopathogens inhibition could represent an option in the control of diseases in the field. This project aims to obtain some natural substances of interest, previously selected (ursolic acid, oleanolic acid, gipsogenic acid, sumaresinolic acid, rosmarinic acid and usnic acid) and evaluate them with respect to antimicrobial activity against some important phytopathogens. The extracts will be fractionated in order to obtain promising substances. Samples that show promising results will be assessed on kinetics of death and cytotoxicity, and will be formulated with solid dispersions aiming to optimize the results. (AU)
