Abstract

Evaluation of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) efficient tools for the prediction of the vibration characteristics of helicopter blades operating in the aerodynamic flow typical of helicopter rotors. Evaluation of applicability of these CFD tools in the synthesis of closed-Ioop control algorithms designed to reduce the vibration transmitted to the fuselage. Organization of large collaboration project involving Carleton University, Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica, industrial partners and FAPESP in Brazil. (AU)
