Abstract

Actives microencapsulation is a technique widely used in the fields of food, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries and has gained prominence in improved stability, decreased oxidation of substances, moisture protection, reduction of damage caused by light and aroma protection. Thus, the main objective of this project is the development of microcapsules with natural actives that already have a proven action as pesticides and can be used in organic agriculture. In phase 1, the microcapsules were produced at laboratory level using the methodology of the spray dryer and are assessed by physicochemical methods and bioassays, to prove its efficiency. Preliminary results showed that microencapsulation by spray drying is a promising technique for the selected atives, among the carriers studied the starch and Golden argil mixture proved to be the most viable for the microencapsulation of organic pesticides.
