Abstract

The research project presented by Opto is closely related to applications in area of cameras for earth observation satellites. The main goal is to develop technology to design, manufacture, and test and align reflective optical systems to add knowledge to further develop multispectral cameras reflective. The main objective of the project is to dominate the techniques for manufacturing lenses/mirrors, thin film deposition and metrology reflective optical components for applications in cameras. The reflective optical system TMA type (Three Mirror Anastigmatic) off-axis and unobscured has several advantages such as achieving high ground resolution, allowing to simultaneously achieving focal lengths and fields of view relatively high, without chromatic aberrations and reduced mass. However, the production of these systems requires mastery of multiple technologies, such as high-performance reflective system design with spherical optical surfaces; manufacturing optical components with aspherical surfaces with considerable dimensions, off-axis and mass relief; aligning and testing systems reflective off-axis. The project will be implemented in 4 phase: planning, preliminary design and detailed design including the final review. It will also be developed in this research project a prototype of a TMA system that will operate in the bands of the visible and SWIR of the electromagnetic spectrum. The system will be fully reflective of large field of view (24 º) and multispectral covering the spectral range of 450nm to 1.700nm. (AU)
