Abstract

The laboratories of the Scholl of Veterinary Medicine from São Paulo State University in Araçatuba, are classified in levels of biosafety 1 to 3. Most of them already have collective protection equipment adequate to the activities carried out in them. However, due to the specific development of some research and the growth in the number of laboratories, there is a need for the acquisition of biological security booths and exhaust hoods for the protection of researchers (professors and graduate students) and technicians in the following laboratories: laboratory of microbiology (virus) (biological safety booth), laboratory of microbiology (bacteria) (exhaust hood), multiuser laboratory (biological safety booth and exhaust hood), animal coccidiosis laboratory (exhaust hood), necropsy laboratory (biological safety booth and exhaust hood), laboratory of infectious diseases (clostridiosis) (biological safety booth and exhaust hood), andrology laboratory (exhaust hood) and epigenome laboratory (exhaust hood), totalizing 04 biological security booths and 7 exhaust hoods.
