Abstract

With the increasing traffic and the search for a healthier lifestyle, more and more people are following this trend and adopting the bicycle as a way of transportation, leisure, hobby, exercise and competitions. With this change of habit, grows up a business segment: the products and services related to cycling. In this scenario, the sector of the industry equipment and components for bicycles and also the service providing sector related to bicycle maintenance and welfare of cyclists is going through a time of great expansion not only Brazil, but worldwide. So with the difficulties encountered with regard to the transport of bicycles during training, tours and travels, the idea of developing a rack to transport bikes with greater ease and security without modifying the car's structure. That said, it began in 2012 planning for how it could be developed a differentiated product on the market that could meet all the expectations of sports equipment supports users. After a round of ideas was suggested the use of vacuum suction cup that generated a development process that lasted 24 months for the development of a prototype for bicycle transport. Of this project was born 3HM Supports Sporting Equipment, a national company, which returns and produces supports to carry, display or store sports equipment and has patented the result of developments through the project Constructive Disposition introduced in Suction cup Manual from the BR 20 2014 024 342 4 process. Thus, 3HM comes two years exporting to Brazil and in 2016 started exporting to Colombia, Paraguay and Peru. All this expanding market and understanding of the needs led to 3HM find an important gap that generated this analysis project of technical and scientific feasibility aimed at developing a rack with suction cups as you do not remove the front wheel of the bicycle and is adaptable to 100% of vehicles. The research will involve the modeling of a prototype through 3D software that meets the requirements of flexibility due to the wide variety of passenger cars on the market and consequently the implementation of reliability and safety tests of this product through a test bench that will be created specifically for the development of this product.
