Abstract

The intention of the research is getting to know and discussing the Danish experiences in popular education that are called Folk High Schools and the current influence of the principal person who inspired them: the Dane, Nikolaj Frederik Severin Grundtvig (1783-1872). Our intention is to draw parallels with the fundamentals and practices of popular education developed in Brazil that have as their main reference the ideas of Paulo Freire (1921-2007). (AU)
