Abstract

Our purpose is to carry on research properties of a field which can be detected from its absolute Galois group. Such properties have to be hereditary in the sense that they will be present in all algebraic extensions of the field under consideration. We are particularly interested in properties which can be set up by means of families of valuations rings.
