Abstract

The Yagra complex is composed by the following neotropical genera: Yagra Oiticica, 1955, Athis Hübner, 1819, Hista Oiticica, 1955 and Imara Houlbert, 1918. The present project is intended to revise the phylogenetic relationships within this complex of genera; to redescribe and revise the genera Yagra, Hista and Imara, and to evaluate the validity of subspecies in the genus Hista. The comparative morphological study will permit to verify the monophyly of the aforementioned genera and their affinities, which were overlooked in previous works. (AU)
