Abstract

An experiment with turkeys will be carried through in the experimental installations of the FMVZ-UNESP, Botucatu, in the period of 23 of April the 02 of July of 2008. The efficiency of different preventive programs of coccidiosis for turkeys will be evaluated. 504 turkeys of one day will be used, of an ancestry commercial, that will be divided in four treatments with six repetitions, being they: T1-diet has controlled, without use of anticcocidial drugs and vaccination against coccidiosis; T2-diet increased of anticoccidial drugs up to 64 days of age; T3-vaccination of the turkeys against coccidiosis; T4-vaccination of the turkeys against coccidiosis and the supplementation with biological promoters (competitive exclusion) soon after the birth, for saw spray and supplementation in the ration daily pay-initial up to 21 days of an energy-protein complex. The vaccination will be carried through in the hatching house, with attenuated vaccine. The birds will be lodged with density of 21 aves/m² up to seven days, 9,8 aves/m² between 8o day and 6a week and 4,5 aves/m² until the age of abates it. To the five days of age the birds will be submitted to the challenge of coccidiosis, carried through with aspersion of a super dosage of vaccine (five times that one recommended) on the birds. The evaluated characteristics will be of performance (profit of weight, corrected alimentary conversion, consumption of ration and mortality), intestinal morphometric (length weight of the intestine and its portions, integrity and length of villus and cypt), prop up of injuries for coccidiosis, counting of oocysts and cost of the preventive programs. The intestine collections will be carried through to the 14, 21, 28 and 72. The performance will be evaluated weekly and to the end of the total period. The counting of oocysts will be carried through weekly. The results will be evaluated by ANOVA and test of Tukey (5%) and the correlations between the evaluated characteristics will be traced by the test of Pearson (5%).
