Abstract

Taking into consideration the important role of the research within the professional field, especially the one related to building and validation of the tests of personality and the inventory of interests, this study has as objective to show evidences of validation for a scale of professional counseling. Approximately 150 students, male and female will be participating in this research. They are from two Medium Level Schools, located in Campinas area, while one is public and the other is a private school. The sample for this research will be composed by 50 students from the first level, 50 from the second and 50 from the third level. The data collection will be executed through the EAP (Escala de Aconselhamento Profissional) and the IFP (Inventário Fatorial de Personalidade). The research will be applied in the Schools, after the students get their parents and sponsors´ authorization through the signature of the Termo de Consentimento Livre e Esclarecido, which will take approximately 50 minutes and it will be a collective taken done by the researcher. The intent of this work is to do a statistic descriptive analysis of both tools Person’s correlations between the EAP and the IFP, Variance analyses (ANOVA) between education levels, having as reference the EAP and the Student t test analyses to check the average differences between the genders and the nature of the Schools (public or private).
