Abstract

The project consists in deepen the analyses of two films who talked directly with the audiences of the period called conservative modernization in Brazil: Macunaíma (1969), of Joaquim Pedro de Andrade, and Terceiro Milênio (1982), of Jorge Bodanzky and Wolf Gauer. In those two films there is a strong presence of heroes tipification, of the character who delivery to himself politician-social results and, therefore, leads mise en scène architecture. It is more properly a kind of analysis of a adapted work of a fiction romance and of an another non-fictional work, already next of the democratic opening period, at the 84's. The analysis route in the two works is of the fiction that uses the carnival allegory, of chanchada from the space of the forest to the modern city, with the use of irony for an expresssion in authoritary times, to one "fiction-documentary", ironic also, when discoursing about the new times policy, new directions, new age, seeing a properous future of the third millennium, having as recurring stand Amazônia's Geography. That state wich served of refuge to give efforts to carnavalization of Tropicalismo, with the influential art of Hélio Oiticica, to the práxis of a marginal aesthetics. The analysis intends to observe how the relation among heroic characters is given - of that typical anti-hero scoundrel and the universe that circles it in the picture, Brazilian audiovisual window.
