Abstract Our purpose is to analyse the transformation process in journalism activity by using a determined sociological theory - the Émile Durkheim functionalism. We will focus on the segmented magazines that seem to fit well the discussion of segments and the social work division. It is about the recuperation and inquiry of a methodology that is not so used nowdays in the communication research. This project tries to rise theoretical and analytic ways of the segmentation phenomenon in journalism. | |
