Abstract Finite quantum systems play an important role in modeling problems where only few energy levels are relevant. Among these problems is the Bose-Einstein Condensate in a triple-well potential in the three-mode local approximation. We intend to study the semiclassical limit of finite systems using various methods, such as: path integrals, time dependent variational principle and coherent states. Also, we will analyze the behavior of these systems when coupled to the environment, with emphasis on decoherence and energy dissipation. | |
