Abstract

Cecília Meireles writes about life, seeking to describe, in a poetic way, the human existence. In her cipher-words game, the authoress looks for answers or indicates routes to her own indagations, which are, deeply, universal. Solombra is one of the vehicles elected by the poetress to the revelation of the being. Revelation which is the final and complete synthesis of all philosophical and mystic trajectory idealized before Viagem", by the authoress, according to Boberg (1989). Last cecilian work (1963) published in life, becomes peculiar even when dealing with themes already beloved to the poetress: being-in-the world, ephemerity, being-to-the-death and anguish in the presence of life. Solombra shows the being in conflict which, in opposition to the concrete and annoying situations in which it lives, can see the possibility of the transcendence. Those "existential" features are what permeates the objectives of this study, because the cecilian poetry has the capacity to put the being in direct relationship with the Being, position that in former times had already been privileged by the Symbolism, and that is also in Heidegger´s philosophy, which gives us a new reading key to her poems. The preoccupation is to take the secrets out of darkness to the clarity. That is something implicit in her symbols and enigmas that the writer casts all moments. Philosophy is just a theoretical support. The first intention is to make a literary study, or rather; the reflexive support of existentialism is useful when it helps to broaden the reader´s horizon and their possibilities of reading, besides showing a modernity feature of Cecília Meireles. Heidegger admits that the complete aletheia of the being is in its poetic language, which is the only authentic one to him, because it is the "house of the being", a starting point to the illumination of all existence and truth. And the cecilian poetry contributes to this revelation. (AU)
