Abstract

This work will be conducted at the Department of Plant Production of the School of Agriculture "Luiz de Queiroz", using lots of different cultivars of cucumber, to evaluate the efficiency of the analysis of digital images of seedlings (Seedling Vigor Imaging System ® - SVIS ®) in determining the physiological potential of seeds of cucumber. The results of tests considered effective (germination, accelerated aging and the traditional solution of NaCl, seedling length and seedling emergence) to assessment the force will be compared with data obtained by computerized image analysis of seedlings with the use of software Seedling Vigor Imaging System (SVIS ®), this analysis will be made changes in SVIS system aiming to improve the sensitivity to detect possible differences in physiological potential of the lot assessed. The tests will be conducted in at least three separate times to check the consistency of information provided.
