Abstract

This project was written with the purposes to know the mechanisms of statement establish in exams from national evaluation from language image relation. The analyses corpus will be consisted of exams from Exame nacional do Ensino Médio (ENEM) and Exame Nacional de Desempenho dos Estudantes (ENADE) done between 2004 and 2008. The goal is to understand what theoretical basis are involved in, occurrence's frequency of questions which contain images and, by means of concepts proposed in the discourse analysis studies - the French one - , to evaluate the pertinence of analysis' proposition from theoretical approach of discourse studies. The research will have as theoretical basis the discussions made by philosophers Pêcheux and Foucault that concern the discourse, statement, archaeology, discursive formation concepts, besides of language and image. As methodological procedure, we will adopt bibliographical study followed by the selection of analysis corpus. It will be highlighted from this section the questions which involve the language multiform adopted in these national exams. From this study, we intend to evaluate how the language- images reflections can be developed in the theoretical approach of discourse analysis and to contribute to discourse studies which, under discursive practice regime, they require the analysis of new discursive materiality.
