Abstract

The research will discuss communication strategies that use touch, hearing, smell and taste in Brazilian cultural spaces, using qualitative research and observation in a pre-selection of two institutions in each region of the country, considering its importance for cultural inclusion of individuals, especially those with disabilities, the less favored population in these spaces by their different ways of perception, locomotion and communication. Based on the justification that visual communication is losing the ability to lure the individual, will be presented and analyzed cases of communication theories and cultural sense, which may serve as examples for developing a communication theory of the five senses in cultural spaces. The theoretical research focuses on the semiotic theories of culture and media theory. Are also theoretical studies of the area of accessibility and universal design - design of environments, products and services that consider the differences. Will be collected primary data through interviews and photographs with visitors at cultural venues, with the objective of verifying the use and acceptance of sensory resources as a strategy of inclusion. As study results will be pointed reflections and ways to bring the practice of sensory communication for the cultural area.
