Abstract

Introduction: The tooth loss is still a problem in adults dental health, so it is a great relevance in dentistry. Objective: This study will apply index of tooth loss to mensure their impact on adults of different social and economic use of dental services, and identify the factors associated with it. Methodology: Cross-sectional study will apply the tooth mortality rate and mortality rate dental modified in two steps, the conditions examined in the sample will be the dental caries experience, treatment needs, periodontal status (WHO), socio economic, self perception in oral health and services health use. Step 1 use for the application of the index, data were obtained from 386 adults from 20 to 64 years, entered the labor market. Step 2, apply the contents, after making a new data collection, as was done in step1 in adults of the same age, SUS users. The outcome variable is the tooth loss, from the values obtained by the index, it will be analyzed as a discrete variable and classes, and other factors the independent variables. For the analysis will be used regression models with SPSS. Expected Results: Expected to assess the impact of tooth loss through the application of the tooth loss index in adults with different social-economic and use of services, and to identify factors associated with it.
