Abstract

This direct doctorate request has focused on the analysis of irreversible processes, more specifically, the environmental/urban imbalances and the consequential diseases that affect humans. There will be proposed indicators that estimate the impacts caused by urban ecosystem imbalances and that enable the development of diagnostics of diseases caused in the population, based on the concept of generated entropy/destroyed exergy. To generate these indicators experimental data will be collected and the behavior of the associated processes with these systems will be modeled, based the application of the Second Law of Thermodynamics.
