Abstract The Resolution CFO-82/2008 published in 1st. of October of 2008 it lowered complementary norms for qualification of Dentists (D) in Integrative and Complementary Practices (ICP) in Brazil. The objective of the present research is to verify with base in the literature, the scientific evidences produced on the use of ICP in Dentistry. A systematic literature review will be conduct. This study intend to answer the following question: "Why dentists graduated at dental schools,whose the definition and the recognition of this practice is clear for the society, opts to develop some ICP". By telephone depth interview, about 70 qualified professionals in ICP by the Federal Council of Dentistry will be contacted. Such interviews will be recorded, and soon afterwards it will be made the qualitative analysis of the data. The ICP have been winning force and it's use hasbeen enlarged in the systems of health of the whole world, including Brazil. With the publication of Ordinance 971 (03 de May 2006) the conduct this exploratory study is considered important, as information obtained can be used in improving the health care provided to the population and their inclusion in the curricula of courses in dentistry. | |
