Abstract

This research intends to approach a space for critical proposition in contemporary context where architecture and art are both involved, and in this process set up a dialogue between them. In its way, this work refers to the 1960s and 1970s, a period in which a critical position oriented to the political, social and cultural development was a theme in multiple cultural instances. To define this path of common critical proposition, this research focuses on the similarities in the work of the architect Bernard Tschumi, the choreographer Trisha Brown and the photographer Duane Michals that, acting in the New York city in the same historic moment, where trying to enlarge the limits from the disciplines in which their practices were settled and edify an amplified field with the purpose of transgression of the social structures.
