Abstract

The technology of pesticide application seeks to correct placement of the target product, at quantity required, cost effectively and with minimal contamination, thus reducing production costs and maintaining a sustainable in relation of agriculture and environment. This study aims to evaluate a sprayer on corn crop that makes an application directed, seeking efficiency of chemical control of fall armyworm caterpillar (Spodoptera frugiperda J. E. Smith, 1797 - Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) with smaller volumes of application comparing of two types of spray nozzles on different hybrids of maize. Treatments will be the result of a combination of spray nozzles, spray volumes, different hybrids and additional treatment (untreated control). It will be evaluated for efficacy on control of caterpillar the spray system straight to target, using bars targeted in the row crop, coupled to machine of manuring. At this sense will be sampled to evaluate effect on the number of zero to two applications of insecticide and final production. Data will be analyzed by classical statistics performed by F test and mean comparison of data from treated with insecticides plots to control by Tukey test at 5% significance level. (AU)
