Abstract

From the end of XX century and beginning of the XXI century, appeared in Europe a stimulant called meta-chlorophenylpiperazine (m-CPP), for consumption, usually in nightclubs, discos and parties, with effects similar to ecstasy (MDMA). This new drug was broadcast before his ban as a legal alternative, cheap, and safe in the face of amphetamines and ecstasy. Initially, the main effects of m-CPP are a sense of well-being, euphoria and empathy. However the effects after the use are very harmful to the body such as anxiety, confusion, panic attacks, convulsive states, tachycardia and even death. The originality of this project is in order to identify and quantify the presence of 1 - (2-chlorophenyl) piperazine (o-CPP), 1 - (3-chlorophenyl) piperazine (m-CPP) and 1 - (4-chlorophenyl) piperazine (p-CPP) in plasma of mice subjected to acute treatment with the drug by capillary electrophoresis with UV-Visible detector and mass spectrometry, respectively, CE-UV and CE-MS. The method being developed will optimize the instrumental conditions of the analytical technique and the pre-concentration in sample preparation (solvent extraction). Finally, the method will be validated as a guide for validation of analytical and bioanalytical methods (ANVISA Resolution - RE n º 899 of May 29, 2003). Will be used adult mice of lineage C57BL/6J divided into groups: control and subject to dosage of acute chlorophenylpiperazines (CPPs). Following the analytical methodology is validated, it will support toxicokinetic studies and behavioral effects of the isomers of CPPs in animals subjected to treatment with drugs.
