Abstract

The intention of this research project is to analyze the content of the headlinespublished in the international sections of the newspapers The New York Times, OEstado de São Paulo and the China Daily, which are published respectively in UnitedStates of America, Brazil and China, in order to identify the occurrence of manipulationof information and ethnocentrism. Considering the multicultural characteristics of theglobalized world, this project intends to use its results to highlight the importance ofcultural contextualization in the international journalistic activities, thus promotingcultural diversity.
