Abstract

This research project proposes to investigate the phenomenon of electromagnetically induced transparency with a fixed number of atoms and their applications in processes of storing quantum information in optical cavities. Solving a system of N three-level atoms interacting with the cavity mode, in EIT configuration for a specific-system parameters, it is expected to show the transition from quantum model to the semi-classical, by increasing the number of atoms in the system. We expect to contribute for a precisely understanding of the EIT in cavity optics.
