Abstract

The aim of the project is to evaluate, quantitatively, the occurrence of aflatoxins B1, B2, G1, G2 and fumonisins B1 and B2 in samples of cereals mixtures traded in Brazil by internet. It will be acquired and analyzed, monthly, for a period of seven months, 15 samples of different marks, adding up 105 samples in the end of the experiment. The unit sample will be constituted by original samples adding up the minimum of 250 g of sample. Aflatoxins and fumonisins determination will be performed by high performance chromatography, using high affinity columns for the samples clean up, and with the analytical method previously evaluated in samples artificially contaminated with the toxins. Results will allow evaluating contamination in cereals mixtures by aflatoxins and fumonisins, and the simultaneous occurrence of mycotoxins in the products.
