Abstract

The metabolic consequences of linoleic acid (CLA) combined are still not fully understood. This study aims to assess the effects of CLA supplementation in rats of Wistar strain fed a diet rich in saturated fat (lard). Seek to elucidate some of the mechanisms involved in lipid metabolism in adipose and liver and its relationship with oxidative stress and glycemic control, because they still need further scientific clarification. For 50 rats that animals are divided into five groups: CG - control group, which receives the AIN-93; GCLA - CLA control group, with AIN-93 modified on the type of fat used - 4% soybean oil + 3 % CLA; GGS - Group saturated fat diet with 45% saturated fat; GGS + CLA - CLA + group saturated fat, dietary saturated fat 42% + 3% CLA. Diets will be offered for 30 days, after which the animals are sacrificed. Will be made to collect blood, liver, fat and muscle.
