Abstract

This research aims to assess the vocabulary of preschool children institutionalized in order to identify whether there are differences in performance in the vocabulary of preschool children from public and private schools. Will participate in these study 60 children of both sexes, aged from four to five years preschool children from public and private schools, and institutionalized. Children will be sorted into three groups: GI (20 children from private school), GII (20 public school children) and GIII (20 institutionalized children). As data collection procedure will be applied vocabulary protocol from ABFW (2004), a speech-language screening and a questionnaire to characterize the subjects. The results will be statistically analyzed in order to compare the performance obtained by the children in the vocabulary test of this study. (AU)
