Abstract

The palladium-catalyzed coupling of arenediazonium salts to olefins (often referred to as a Heck-Matsuda reaction (HM)) has attracted considerable interest as a convenient alternative to traditional Heck protocols, and has been increasingly applied in organic synthesis. To understand of this kind coupling reactions will be applied theorectical calculation at DFT level. The research project will involve the study of the following steps a) arylation of allylic amines, b) arylation of allylic esters, and c) intramolecular cyclization. (AU)
