Abstract

The intensification of professional specializations has deeply remarked contemporary social relations. At the same time individuals become more and more specialized in a specific activity, there is an increase of interdependence. This fact puts in evidence the need of dialog spaces and efficient mechanisms of communication for individuals from different social groups. This need is extremely related to social mediation process which has relation to the role played by the journalists. From a tentative to find the common aspects - identified to durkheimian concept of organic solidarity - of social groups, we intend to analyze the journalism as a dialog space present in two social instances, the inside of social groups and the space among those groups.
