Abstract

This research is about journalism mediation sand cultural identities at a contemporaneous period, trying to identify at the narratives, the built dialogue, pointing the journalist as a mediator of identities, considering the cultural diversity characteristics of Brazil. This study starts from the concept of cultural identity of English cultural studies, mainly, Stuart Hall, according to Gilberto Gimenez' ideas show the importance of these studies to the journalistic praxis. In this perspective, it will be considered Cremilda Medina's research about "affects dialogs" related to identity development context, a difference at journalism, besides the important synchronization between the Journalist and the source of information or the protagonist of the social action captured by journalism. The epistemic remark of the investigation will be: why is the study about cultural identity important for journalism? How do the mediation among local identities and the external ones happen? It will be used as an approach case study that will permit us to investigate deeply the special selected narrative and to investigate how the relations occur and how the "affects dialogs" happen. It is about an empirical research, the data collects and interview with journalists, mediators authors of these programs. As a corpus to be investigated, it will be selected the special ones about cultural behavior transmitted at Globe Rural, at "Rede Globo of Television", from 2011 to 2013.
