Abstract

The tomato crop has great economic importance to Brazil and is susceptible to various diseases, depending on the level of resistance of the cultivar used, may limit its production. The virus tospovírus genera are considered causal agents a of very importance tomato crop spotted wilt, causing economic damages. Species of thrips vectors, the most important for occurrence in the state of Sao Paulo is Frankliniella schultzei. The host range of these viruses is extremely broad and many plants has been serving as reservoirs of inoculums and allowing the initiation of epidemics and their control difficult. One of the approaches to alternative agriculture is an alternative control of diseases, which includes biological control and induced resistance in plants and the use of natural products with antimicrobial activity. Induction of resistance has been targeted for control of plant diseases and their deeper knowledge of the action of virus on the metabolism of plants, can be a very useful resource in the investigation of plant resistance to viruses, as well as evaluation of their health. However, objective this work verify the behavior of tomato through the products dithiocarbamates and strobiruline (Cabrio Top) and biofungicide-Bacillus subtilis (Serenade) in the induction of resistance to tomato spotted wilt virus.
