Abstract

In this project we consider the optimal control problem in which the impulsive control system is excited by measures. Using the notion of impulse control newly introduced in the literature, the goal is to show that a general problem of impulse control can be discretized by Euler's method so that the optimal solutions of optimization problems obtained by the discretization converge (or a subsequence of) to an optimal solution of the original impulsive in the convergence of the graphs. While convergence of the graphs is not the desired strong convergence, it is stronger than the weak $ ^ * $ convergence of trajectories, usually obtained in the literature. It is also one of the objectives of this project to develop a method of solving the impulsive problem combining the gradient method or another for nonlinear optimization with the Euler discretization.
