Abstract

After the foundation in 1879 of the laboratory of experimental psychology by Wilhelm Wundt (1832-1920), the new scientific psychology, psychology that takes, to some extent, the method of natural sciences, will have a rapid expansion. One of the most important aspects of this expansion is that it will occur in the first decades after his birth, into German philosophy departments, raising a number of institutional and theoretical problems whose answers have generated controversies involving not only psychologists, but also many of the most respected philosophers. What is the object and methods of psychology? Psychology can provide new answers to old philosophical problems? What is your relationship with the theory of knowledge and logic? Husserl (1859-1938) actively participated in the debate, playing a very important role, especially since the publication of Logical Investigations in 1900/1901, which made him famous for his critique of psychologism. However, such work, far from putting an end to both the problem of psychologism and its variations, as in the problem of coordination between psychology and philosophy, marks the beginning of a long reflection of the author on these topics, which will be reformulated and depth among several controversies is to psychologists, is with philosophers. Of special interest is the period from 1925 to 1930, which notes maturing in Husserl's conception of a phenomenological psychology, which was only reported in previous works, without much development. Our goal is to emphasize and detail the concepts of 'phenomenological psychology', as developed by Husserl in the production period from 1925 to 1930, placing them in the context of the history of psychology, ie, positioning them against the major controversies involving problems relating to the methods and the object of psychology.
