Abstract

This project aims the immortalizations of cell lines of xeroderma pigmentosum patients and their relatives with no clinical manifestations. The immortalization of these cell lines is going to be made by vector transduction and expression of genes E6 and E6 of HPV16. By this process we are going to be able to mantain these cell lines for indetermined time in culture, allowing us to make more studies of these cell lines. This project also aims the comparisson of UV-radiation sensitivity between transformed cells and primary cells to verify the consequences to the DNA rapair pathway caused by the interference of these genes in XP cells.
