Abstract

The research aims to understand the characteristics and elements that historically involved or that still involve the coffee activity in the Marília city, located in the Midwest Paulista. The aim with this research study of changes in coffee production in Marília over the years, their contributions to the formation and the structure of the city and what their current influence on the economy. For this, it is necessary to address the historicity of the coffee activity in relation to the inside of São Paulo and the Marília city, its ramifications in both the economic and social difficulties and the maintenance of current activity.(AU)
