Abstract Various technologies have been studied for the removal of subsurface organic compounds, including processes based on biological oxidation by microorganisms, or even by the method of natural attenuation. The specificity of a diesel oil contamination lies in the fact that diesel oil consists of a mixture of total petroleum hydrocarbons, including polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) such as naphthalene. In this context, the treatment of recalcitrant organic pollutants by advanced oxidation processes has proved to be a very promising alternative. Therefore, the main objective of this project is to evaluate the potential of an advanced oxidation process (pseudo-Fenton) for the remediation of iron-rich clayey soil contaminated with naphthalene. | |
